WAYS TO WORK WITH/ADVERTISE WITH MCMS MEMBERS

Exhibit time during General Membership Meetings is from 6-7:30 p.m. The cost to exhibit is $375.00. Average attendance is 145.

To attend/exhibit at a Young Physician event (physicians age 45 and younger) the cost is $500 per event and usually includes a dinner/lecture at a restaurant or at MCMS headquarters. Average attendance is 40.

Women in Medicine events are held at usually dinner time, with one event being held as a Sunday brunch. The cost to exhibit/participate is $500. These are held at restaurants, in a physician’s home or at MCMS headquarters. Average attendance is 40.

Practice Manager Breakfasts are held at MCMS headquarters from 8-9:15 a.m. the 4th Tuesday of most months. Topics of presentations are chosen as requested by practice managers. Sponsors are able to meet and greet attendees, speak for 2 minutes, stay for the meeting and meet with attendees at the end of the meeting. The cost of sponsoring a breakfast and attending is $250. Average attendance is 30.

The MCMS Strategies Conference and Trade Show is held at the end of October. The 2010 event had 110 attendees. Exhibition costs vary depending on the venue.

Other ways to promote your business are through advertising in the following ways:

1. Advertise in MARYLAND MEDICINE, the Maryland State Medical Society Journal (view a previous copy at http://www.medchi.org/news-and-bulletins/publications).  This quarterly journal is distributed to 7500 physicians around the state as well as Maryland legislators. 2. Advertise in ROUNDS, the Montgomery County Medical Society quarterly newsletter.  Find a copy on the MCMS website at http://www.montgomerymedicine.org/docs/ROUNDS-Oct2010-online.pdf

4. Place a classified in MARYLAND MEDICINE. This quarterly medical journal is read by 7500 members.
